Constitution
A. Name and Purpose
- The name of the organization is the Cascade Golf Club.
- The primary purpose of the club is to promote participation in the game of golf and fellowship among its members.
B. Executive Board
- The Board is responsible for setting the policies of the club.
- The Board is composed of the six elected officers for the current term and the immediate past president.
C. Officers
- Officers will be elected by a plurality vote of the members present at a general membership meeting called before the end of the term. Their term of office will extend from November 15th through November 14th.
The following are the elected officers and their duties and responsibilities:
- President: Serves as the executive officer. Responsible for the affairs of the club, conducting all meetings, and calling special meetings as deemed necessary.
- Vice-president/Co-Vice-president: Act in the absence of and performs such duties as may be assigned by the President, and will automatically succeed the President if the President is unable to complete the term of office.
- Secretary: Conduct all correspondence and keep all other records of the club, including the minutes of the meetings.
- Treasurer: Collect, disburse, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions concerning the club funds and provide statements as requested and at the end of the term.
- Handicap Chairman: Collect all scores turned in by club members, update and disburse handicaps (GHIN cards) regularly. Has final decision in all handicap disputes.
- Tournament Director: Organize and administer the schedule of outings and tournaments for the term and be responsible of drafting the Rules of Play. The proposed schedule and rules must be submitted to the Board for review and approval as soon as available at the beginning of the term.
